Alessia Rotino | #FEMMEFEATUREFRIDAY

Alessia is a dancer and yoga teacher from Toronto. Dancing from before she could walk, the studio has always been home for her. She describes herself as a life-long learner who has a passion for writing and all things self-care. Alessia has a BFA in dance from York University and has a background in dance education and events. A true California girl at heart, Alessia moved to Los Angeles to further her training and completed a 12-month Certificate Program at the world renowned Millennium Dance Complex. She has danced for the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak, Invictus Games: Opening & Closing Ceremonies, ASAP: Live in Toronto and for many festivals, live shows and corporate events including the Choreographer’s Carnival and the Choreographer’s Ball in Los Angeles and Toronto. She has also had the incredible opportunity to work with artists including Alyson Stoner and Brandy under the direction of choreographer Kenya Clay.

Additionally, Alessia is a Registered Yoga Teacher 200hr with Yoga Alliance and currently teaches Yoga for Dancers at Millennium Dance Complex Toronto. When she isn’t getting her sweat on, you can find Alessia reading, listening to her favourite SuperSoul and Hay House podcasts, or planning her next travel adventure. Most recently, Alessia plunged into the exciting world of entrepreneurship and is presently the Co-Director of Purpose Dance Competition and the Founder & Director of a wellness company called Soulscape. Alessia is inspired by storytelling and hopes to share the authentic stories of women to empower future generations of girls!
