Get ready! This week’s #FEMMEFEATUREFRIDAY is everything under the sun! We are so excited for you to get to know the beautiful Stevie Dore. First things first… have you seen this girl dance? If not, you’re seriously missing out. Stevie is the whole package and perfectly blends together technique, class, elegance, power, poise, sexiness and strength. What we admire most about Stevie is her effortless ability to radiate all of these positive qualities while staying true to her authentic self. This girl is undeniably inspiring and she’s got that magnetic star quality about her that shines both on and off stage. Stevie’s secret weapon is her confidence. She fully embraces who she is and reassures all of us to share our uniqueness with the world.
Stevie is an incredible dancer and has learned from the best! From an early age, she trained with some of the industry’s top choreographers at The PULSE dance convention such as Gil Duldulao, Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels and Tessandra Chavez. Since then, she’s racked up an abundance of credits including the Yeezus tour for Kanye West, the Revival tour for Selena Gomez, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, and Zendaya. She’s also worked on Dancing With The Stars, The Voice, Glee, Emmy Awards, #RealityHigh and Valley Girl. In addition, Stevie had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Tresemme “Work It” campaign and the Too Faced Cosmetics “Better Than Sex” mascara campaign. This woman doesn’t let anything stand in her way!
It’s inspiring to see such a gorgeous and talented woman be simultaneously so down-to-earth and humble. Stevie is a loyal friend and she supports all of the other amazing artists around her. We love how she fearlessly shares her sincere soul and pure heart with others. Stevie is a firm believer in trusting the process and not giving up even when things get tough. Her unshakeable faith is what keeps her grounded and motivated in an ever-changing and critical industry. She reminds us not to worry about the opinions of others and to focus on growing and evolving into the person we want to be. We can’t take our eyes of this amazing gal and we hope that Stevie’s example of natural virtue and bravery encourages you to listen to your inner voice! Thank you Stevie for being YOU.

You are such a star when you dance, especially when you’ve got those heels on! How do you maintain your powerful and bright energy in such a difficult industry? Do you have any tips on how to shine no matter what?
Ah, thank you! The industry is a hectic place, but for me it’s all about keeping a clear mindset. That includes not taking anything personally. I’m a firm believer in what is meant for you will not pass you by and what is meant to be will be. As for tips…my number one would be CONFIDENCE. You have everything to be confident about because nobody is you and nobody can be you. Embody your true self. TRUST YOURSELF. You got this!
Who’s your biggest female inspiration and why?
A big inspiration to me is Cara Delevingne. Being in such a judgmental industry and in the height of her career as a supermodel, she shaved off all of her hair.
“The more we embrace who we are as people and rely less on our physical attributes, the more empowered we become.” - Cara D.
She is not worried about what others think of her. She embraces her “weirdness” and is pushing for a change in what society sees as beauty. An inspo ~
Tell us about a moment in your life where you were pushed to your limits and forced to grow. What important lessons did you learn along the way?
Through any moments in life when I was pushed to my limits, the most consistent lesson that I learned was to not give up. I learned to gather up strength and keep pushing because it could always be worse. Even though something may have us down, we are still fortunate, healthy, and able.
Why do you think it’s important for women to stand strong and tall together?
It’s important for women to stand strong and tall together because alone we are powerful, but together we are explosive. The amount of passion and nurturing aspects we have as women is amazing. Bringing all of our strength and love together could really Impact the world around us.
What’s your definition of a YGTGirl?
My definition of a YGTGirl is someone who is comfortable being her own woman. She listens to her inner self and trusts the process. She is constantly growing and ever-evolving.
