We have such a special #FEMMEFEATUREFRIDAY for you today! We are so excited to share the lovely Bianca Muniz with you this week. Bianca is an artist through and through and we love how her fearless spirit radiates throughout all of her work. She has an infectious positivity about her that always keeps her moving forward. No matter what happens, she looks for the light at the end of the tunnel. It is so incredible to see her find strength in recognizing the impermanence of her hardships. This girl literally grows through what she goes through! It’s a beautiful thing that Bianca has learned to cultivate her experiences, whether good or bad, as inspiration for her music.
Bianca’s undeniable passion and talent have led this amazing girl to an extremely illustrious career! Graduating from The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music back in 2016, Bianca quickly leaped toward her dream of being a professional singer. She released her first EP “Scary Dream” in 2016, followed by her first single called “For You” and “Take Me Away” in 2017. She released her song “Maybe I” this past spring, which she collaborated with Producer, Songwriter and Composer, Alex Siesse. Make sure to check out the music videos for “For You” and “Take Me Away” which were both released on VEVO! Most importantly, stay tuned for her full-length album entitled “For You” which will be coming out very soon! Since 2016, Bianca has toured her music throughout the East Coast, Montreal, Chicago and California! She has also had the wonderful opportunity to perform at Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, National Sawdust, Bowery Electric, Kensico Music Festival, Westchester Knicks Half-Time Show, the Rangers and Knicks games at Madison Square Garden, New York Fashion Week, Good Morning Chicago, Make A Wish Galas in New York and Phoenix and has opened for Rachel Platten with artist Heather LaRose! Additionally, Bianca was on the Tony’s last year for the Great Comet and she sung at Carnegie Hall with Havasi! This girl is an absolute superstar! What we admire most about Bianca is her relentless commitment to staying true to herself. Bianca is the ultimate YGTGirl because she demonstrates the magic we can create in our lives when we make choices based on what WE want for ourselves. She shows us that we are all destined to manifest a life that is authentic to who we are when we listen to our own inner voice. Not only does Bianca encourage us to silence the outside noise, she reminds us not to get in our own way. If your dreams feel scary…GO AFTER THEM! Thank you Bianca for being a role model, a powerhouse and an undeniable light in this world!

You purely embody the word STRENGTH as a woman, artist, and human. What does strength mean to you and how would you define it on your terms?
Thank you so much! To me, strength means never giving up. No matter what life throws at me, I just keep going; keep pushing forward and I try to remain positive through it all. I remind myself that whatever hardship I’m going through is only temporary, and I will make it through to the other side.
What is your creation process as an artist? Do you have any rituals or methods you use to get into the creative zone or are you always pulling from different places? How do you get IN that flow to create?
Goodness, my creation process varies so much. Sometimes I wake up from a dream with an entire song in my head, or even just chords or an idea. Other times I’ll sit at the piano for hours, press record on my phone, and play and sing random things. Then I take it apart and put it back together in a song. There are also days where I just feel like sitting outside in nature and writing. My favorite place to do that is by a body of water, preferably the beach. Sometimes that’ll turn into a song, and sometimes it’ll just be therapy and no one ever sees or hears it.
Why do you think it’s important for women to stand together and use their voices in today’s society?
It’s important because we have so much to say and contribute to the world. Women should be lifting each other up. Every single one of us is so unique and I feel like we can learn a lot from each other and grow. We are stronger together
If you had a room full of 10-year- old girls in front of you, what would you say to them?
Do not let anyone stand in your way, not even yourself. Do not let other people’s opinions influence what you feel is right for you.
What is your definition of a YGTGirl?
My definition of a YGTGirl is someone who lives their truth. It may be scary at times, but they push forward and do it anyway.
