Mel Mah | Director

MEL MAH is a dreamer, artist, leader, teacher, and filmmaker. She’s originally from Toronto, Canada and currently resides in Los Angeles. She is a former professional dancer and experienced much success as a performer, working for artists such as Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Britney Spears, and Alicia Keys, and appearing on TV shows such as Glee, The Voice, X-Factor, and America’s Got Talent. She also competed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Canada and made it into the top 6. Now, Mel has moved on from dance to pursue a career as a film director. She helped develop the film THE MEG with Jason Statham’s management company, has provided script coverage for Highland Film Group, and she most recently assisted director George Tillman Jr. for a year and a half on the 20th Century Fox film THE HATE U GIVE. In addition, Mel is a yoga instructor and has been teaching in LA since 2012. She has her 500-hour teaching certification, and she currently works at Corepower Yoga.

Her experience in yoga, meditation, dance, and film all come together to fuel her purpose with YGTG. She is an adamant believer in endlessly chasing your passions and conquering your fears by mastering your thoughts. She’s seen the magic that mindfulness practices have brought to her own journey, and she is determined to share her knowledge and experiences with the world. Mel is dedicated to helping others realize their fullest potentials, and she continually strives to spread love and light wherever she goes. She is extremely passionate about this company, and she is wholeheartedly committed to helping other women live the life of their dreams.
